If you can't be with the one you love...love the one you're with..... I MEAN YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!

I Googled the following words to find the amount of results and this was astounding...but not shocking.

Love - About 1,910,000,000 results (0.15 seconds) 
Fat - About 191,000,000 results (0.15 seconds) 
Healthy - About 176,000,000 results (0.15 seconds) 
Skinny - About 38,000,000 results (0.09 seconds)

So many times I have met a new client or come across someone in my fitness class who sits in the back of the class, or have said “I can’t.” Well, I have a SIGN That many of you know or may have seen as I plunk  it in front of you...it is Pink and glittery and it says “Can’t has a Brother named CAN!”

I find it overwhelming and emotional to find that some people really struggle let alone with a health/ wellness journey, but that they struggle it alone. If you are trying to make small or big changes in your life, PLEASE ask for help. Seek it out and ensure that people that are around you Love you, nurture you and support you.

I was writing an entirely different blog for this week and then began to watch the Biggest Loser tonight. The contestants got videos from home messages from loved ones, and one client did not receive one when the show contacted her family. They said lose 100lbs or don’t bother coming home.  I was Overcome with distraught.

YOUR SUCCESS LIES WITH YOU, but we all need a shoulder to lean on.

I have many clients who actually have gone through this in some way shape or form and it can certainly sabotage one’s journey. Do you have a friend that says, “Oh you are working out....EAT THE CHIPS! “ Even when you don’t want to? Do you feel pressure? It is not support.

Enroll your family to be your official weight-loss cheerleaders. Tell them you'd appreciate a boost of encouragement every now and again. Let them know how much you relish their support when they do or say something to help keep you motivated.

Don't be shy! Share your success. When you hit a target, let everyone know it. Let them see how enthusiastic and happy you are to accomplish your goals. By sharing in your joy, they will see how important this is to you and will be even more likely to support you and your efforts.

Ask them to keep temptation AWAY by not offering you foods that are not on your diet.

A support system is a real asset for people trying to lose weight. It isn't a mandatory thing and if you don't have one that doesn't mean you won't reach your goals. It's just nice to know that at the end of the day when all is said and done that someone is there to tell you "good job" and that they are proud of you.
